Gap year student or graduate needed for work placement with Lord Janner. One assistant for each of periods September-December 2008; January-April 2009; and April-July 2009.
Successful candidates will help Lord Janner with his political, communal and general office work.
Lord Janner is an active member of the House of Lords; Chairman of the Holocaust Educational Trust; President of the Commonwealth Jewish Council; Joint President of the Coexistence Trust; and a Vice-President of the World Jewish Congress.
The position is non-paid, but weekly expenses are covered.

The Union of Jewish Students played an instrumental part in making last week’s NUS Conference one of the most successful ever for Jewish students. Around 80 Jewish students were among 1000 delegates for a week of political debate in Blackpool. By the end of the Conference, UJS had secured a number of notable victories.
