UJS is always looking to connecting Jewish students from one area of the country to Jewish students from other areas of the country. The same is true at a local level... If you are looking for some Jewish housemates for this year or next, then email UJS with a short paragraph about yourself, what you are looking for, and some contact details, and we will advertise it on our website (free of charge!) and see if we can help you out!
There are also nine residential Hillel Houses spread across the country offering a special warmth and sense of community for ALL Jewish students. In addition to providing accommodation, all our Houses welcome non-resident students to use the social facilities for JSoc events, Friday Night Dinners or just to hang-out with friends.
Where there is no current Jewish student facility, we are actively working with University authorities to provide accommodation specifically for Jewish students.
These units will have dedicated kosher kitchens (self-catered) and usually be within existing University Halls.
